Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE

S Pen in the box. 1,899 SAR of Android tablet that does real work.

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE is Samsung’s sweet-spot tablet — a 10.9″ display, Exynos 1580 chip, 8GB RAM, and the S Pen included (no extra cost). For note-taking in Notebook, drawing in Samsung’s built-in creative apps, or marking up documents, the S Pen works smoothly. Samsung DeX on tablet is a genuinely useful desktop mode for productivity.

The 90Hz display is smooth, the battery lasts about 12 hours of reading/streaming (8 hours of video calls), and Samsung’s OneUI for tablets is the most polished Android tablet experience on the market. Book Cover Keyboard accessory (sold separately, 399 SAR) adds productivity without breaking the bank.

Xiaomi Pad 6

1,299 SAR of solid tablet. The kid’s first tablet, the spare family device, the couch reader.

Xiaomi Pad 6 is the cheapest tablet we’d actually put in a Saudi household and not feel embarrassed. 11″ display at 144Hz (impressive at this price), Snapdragon 870 (last-gen but still fast), 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a solid all-aluminum build that doesn’t feel budget. For watching Shahid, reading Kindle, playing casual games, and video calling grandma, it does everything well.

MIUI for Pad is decent but has the typical Xiaomi bloatware notifications that MIUI flagship phones also have. Battery life is 10-12 hours of mixed use. Weight is 490g — lighter than the Samsung, heavier than the iPad. Speakers are adequate but not great — use Bluetooth audio for proper movie watching.

Where it compromises: no cellular option (WiFi only), pen support exists but Xiaomi Smart Pen is sold separately and works less smoothly than Apple Pencil or S Pen. 2 years of OS updates vs 4 on Samsung, 5 on iPad — for a kid’s tablet that will be handed down, this is fine. For a primary work tablet, step up to Samsung.
